The CTC of Greater Downingtown is a collaboration of organizations, schools, hospitals, faith community, law enforcement, health care providers, human services, and local government using evidence-based prevention programs and policies to foster positive mental health and youth development.
Through a Collective Impact Approach, CTC helps communities identify and implement changes that can help students be successful at school, at home, and in the community.
Programs in Chester County (Greater Downingtown Area Specific)
Parent to Parent– A space where Downingtown area parents can find support, information, and guidance to empower their youth to make positive choices and strengthen their families.
Parent and Community Speaking Engagements – topics include alcohol, vaping, marijuana, opioids, other substances, how to have conversations, recovery and much more.
HYPE (Healthy Youth Positive Energy) Club – HYPE is a group of students passionate about creating a healthy school community through advocacy and leadership to prevent substance use and promote positive mental and emotional well-being.
Currently active at (6) Downingtown Area School District schools: Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center, Lionville Middle School, Downingtown Middle School, Downingtown West High School, Downingtown East High School and the STEM Academy including 78 active members leading 16 school-based projects.
